IUCC CSU Seminar on Cloud Computing for Academia

Nearly 70 academic researchers and IT support staff attended a day-long seminar on Cloud Computing for Academia, sponsored by the IUCC Cloud Service Unit, in cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Emind. The seminar, open to researchers and staff from IUCC-member institutions, covered important topics relevant for the academic world. Lecturers from AWS included Dob Todorov on making safety and security on the public cloud, Brendan Bouffler, on SciCo (Science Computing) and Felix Manoharan on the AWS Educate program. Emind architects Lahav Savir showcased AWS for academia and Oron Adam on AWS 101. The seminar was held on October 27, on the Tel Aviv University campus in Ramat Aviv.
