PRACE HPC Training Comes to Tel Aviv

The Future of HPC: Israeli Innovation & PRACE Introductory Workshop

IUCC is proud to host the 2014 PRACE Winter School in Tel Aviv. This PRACE seasonal school offers a unique two-part program. In addition to classical hands-on training, the program includes a mini-workshop on “The Future of HPC: Israeli Innovation”, where Israeli companies and researchers who are developing future HPC technologies will be showcased. The hands-on training will focus on an introductory workshop on how to use PRACE resources.

The program is completely free (not including travel and accommodations) and registration is limited to 60 participants, so please be sure to apply early. Applications are open to researchers, academics and industrial users, residing in PRACE member states and eligible countries. All classes and training will be in English.

Travel Stipends

LinkSCEEM is offering a number of limited funded competitive fellowships to assist in flight and accommodation costs for participants from the Eastern Mediterranean region (Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Palestinian Authority and Greece, as well as neighboring countries: Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iraq.) who wish to attend. Fellowships will be awarded to suitable candidates who are involved in Computational Science/HPC research projects or studies and can identify how attending can help them in their future work. Local Israeli applicants can apply for a stipend to offset travel expenses to and from Tel Aviv of NIS 200 (limited to 20 attendees). This scholarship  is being provided by the Israeli CECAM Node. Click here for more details.
