The 13th Annual MEITAL National Conference on “New Technologies and Their Evaluation in Online Teaching and Learning” was held on June 30, 2015 at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. The conference program included over 40 presentations on educational technology research, as well as lectures on the “flipped classroom” teaching model, Big Data and future of teaching. The closing address was delivered by Naomi Darom, a journalist from Ha’aretz who spoke on the social practice of “shaming” through the ages. This year’s keynote address, titled ” Education: Presence, Influence and Identity.” was delivered by Dr. Bonnie Stewart from the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada.
