In response to a request from the Zambian Embassy, MEITAL’s management hosted a delegation from the Zambian Ministry of Education at IUCC on Monday, September 4, 2017. The Zambian Minister of Education requested that MEITAL present its scope of activities in higher education to explore ways in which MEITAL could collaborate with institutions in Zambia to assimilate learning technologies and online courses.
The delegation consisted of eight officials. MEITAL presented its three main areas of activity:
- E-learning workshops, seminars, webinars and professional development
- Creating communities promote inter-institutional cooperation
- A portfolio of technologies available to MEITAL members for use at institutions
The visit was very successful and fruitful. It was agreed to continue cooperation toward assisting Zambian higher education institutions to assimilate learning technologies and establish a centralized infrastructure to support this similar Israel’s.
