On October 22, 2026 IUCC held its 3rd Annual Cybersecurity Conference on the Tel Aviv University campus. A diverse lineup of speakers spoke on the issue of cyber incidents that have plagued Israel over the past year and specifically incidents that have targeted academia.
While the event was “sold out” within a few days of being announced, we were sorry so many of the 120+ registered couldn’t attend at the last minute due “burning the midnight oil” to address the critical vulnerabilities in PHP discovered on October 21.
Thanks to all the attendees who did make it, and to the speakers for their time, insights and commitment to the research and education community.

As in previous years, the agenda highlighted the specific threats faced by the academic sector in Israel, with a focus on actual cyber incidents and how AI has affected the cyber eco-system.
We look forward to expanding collaborations and to hosting future conferences to advance cyber security issues in academia and beyond.
